Penang Island, Malaysia 20th - 25th Feb (By Ella)

After around 3 hours on the ferry we arrived at Penang and got a taxi to our hotel. We stayed at the 1926 Heritage hotel and like many buildings in Penang, the hotel is a protected structure. It was fine for what we needed - had a good swimming pool, and a good air-conditioned foyer where we could work whilst Dad played piano !  New Year celebrations continued throughout our stay and on one evening we visited a very large temple that had over 200,000 lights and bought a ribbon for the wishing tree ! Penang is famous for its food and we tried lots of different types of food including chicken feet ! We really enjoyed Penang.

Langkawi Island, Malaysia 16th - 20th Feb (By Ella)

We are now on our 3rd country; it took us 2 planes to get to the beautiful Langkawi Island from Bali, and it is definitely worth it! We have seen macaque monkeys(which look like Lemurs), eagles swooping, amazing beaches, 6D movies, 3D Art Museums, been up cliffs on gondolas & started to celebrate Chinese New Year. We may be in Malaysia, but Chinese New Year is a really big thing here. We have had lots of fun in Langkawi!

Canggu, Bali 8th - 15th Feb (By Ella)

In Canggu, we have had a very busy & jam-packed week. It's been Mum & Dads 13th wedding anniversary (unlucky for some), Mum's Birthday and Valentines Day. To celebrate we had a fabulous day out at Finns Beach Club (Uluwatu). We also went to Waterbom Bali, had our hair cut, and did lots of school work and skypeing with our teachers! This week is our last week in Bali before going to Langkawi Island, Malaysia.
