From Istria, we drove to Otocac in the mountains. It was much colder in Otocac and we stayed in some wooden bungalows for three nights and visited the nearby Plitvice Lakes National Park.

After the mountains - it was time for the beach again. We drove to Split where we caught the ferry for Brac Island. We were going to Brac Island for 4 nights although liked it that much we stayed there for 11 nights from the 22nd August to the 2nd September.

After a relaxing time on Brac Island, we got the ferry back to the mainland and then headed to Dubrovnik where we stayed 7 nights. We were meeting Grandma and Grandad which was a surprise for us! We spent time in Dubrovnik old town, went to the top of Mount Srd by cable car and walked down, and spent a day visiting islands.

Eventually it was the 9th September and we had spent over a month in Croatia! It was a very nice country with clear waters, stunning history and lovely people. It was great to see Grandma and Grandad.

We left Dubrovnik on the 9th September at 10pm .... on the overnight ferry for Bari, Italy!
