Andorra, 2nd Oct - 6th Oct (by Ella)

We went to Andorra to meet Mum's cousin Mike and family! Mum and Mike would see each other very often when they were little, and now haven't seen each other for over 20 years!

Mike now lives in Andorra (a very small country near Spain), along with his lovely wife Anna and little Girl Sienna.

We stayed with them for 4 nights in their house that had a stunning view overlooking the village and mountains. We also watched the England / Australia rugby world cup match, and made sure the whole village could see our Australia flag!

Mike and Anna showed us all around Andorra. They do a lot of climbing and also took us to a local Rock Climbing wall.

Mike & Anna also had 2 very cute Griffon dogs called Eddie and Eva which we instantly fell in love with.

We had lots of fun with Mike, Anna and Sienna; Andorra was one of our favourite places, and we can't wait to come back again soon.

South of France, 21st September - 2nd October (by Amy and Neil)

We arrived in Nice, France late in the afternoon and we met a lady called Marion. Marion owned an apartment in Nice that we were renting for 8 nights; we had seen it on AirBnB and thought it would be perfect for us.

We were very happy with the apartment and it was a great base for our time in Nice with Uncle Ian and Charlie who were in town for the Monaco Boat Show. They had got us passes for the show and we made a few visits to the Monaco boat show and spent a lot of time with Ian and Charlie.

We had a tour of this boat

Dinner with Charlie's brother and sister in law
It was my birthday (turned 10!) - we had a day out at Ville France; Ville France is a town we visited on a cruise holiday in 2009 and it was great to go back there.

We also had a walk up to the old fort which had a great view of Nice Port and and 'Promenade des Anglais' which runs along the beach.

We said good bye to Ian and Charlie and drove to a place called Port Grimaud in the bay of St Tropez. We stayed in a holiday chalet and it was fun staying in the resort which had a great park and walks. We also had a tour of the town in one of the tractor trains.

From St Tropez we drove to Parpignan where we stayed for a couple of nights. We had dinner at the beach, and also went bowling and went swimming in the local sports centre.

From Parpignan, we headed off to Andorra where we were going to stay with Justine's cousin Mike, and Anna and Sienna (4). On the way we stopped at Carcassonne and saw a medieval castle that was similar to the castle in the film Shrek! We had a great time in France and were excited to meet our relatives in Andorra.
