Diamond Princess Cruise Ship - Day 1-4 (by Ella)

This is our 3rd family reunion, being held on the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Our family reunion has included Uncle Ian, Auntie Sam, Cousins Callum and Chloe (from USA) - Auntie Zoe, Mark, Connor and Ciaran from UK, and Grandma and Grandad from UK. That is a total of 15 in this exciting 2 week trip. On our trip, we have cruised around New Zealand, seeing amazing views, going on terrific rides & seeing exotic animals.


Day 1 - Friday 19th December - Sydney

• Boarded cruise at 5, leaving the house clean for renters.
• Put our suitcases in our cruise room & then went to dinner in the Horizon Court with the American Sheards.
• Cruise left harbour at 8, going past the Harbour bridge & Opera House
  

Day 2 - Saturday 20th December - At Sea

• Had breakfast at 9 with Grandma & Grandad in the Horizon Court. 
• First full day at sea, filled with pool & spa time!
• First formal night (1of 3); had lots of photos done & had dinner in the Savoy Dining Room. 

Day 3 - Sunday 21st December - At Sea

• Had Breakfast at 9:30 in the Horizon Court (Main Breakfast place).
• Played Shuffle Board, Table Tennis, Mini Golf (Broke a golf ball some how) & in pool.

Day 4 - Monday 22nd December - Bay of Islands

• We all went on a kayaking trip for half of the day, seeing a waterfall and lots of birds.
• Had a drink and a jump on a trampoline half way through the kayaking trip.

The Itinerary

We are heading off soon on a big trip ! We are visiting around 20 countries in total, returning to Australia in Jan 2016.

We have rented the house out, and will be home schooling Ella (11), Amy (9) and Anna (5).


Our itinerary (below) includes 4 months in Asia, 6 months in Europe and Africa, and 2 months in the USA.
