Spain, 6th Oct - 1st Nov (by Neil and Amy)

We had around a three hour drive from Andorra to get to our hotel at Portaventura, Salou, Spain. We were staying for 2 nights in the theme park and had a 3 day pass for the rides.

The theme park was awesome! It had the highest rollercoaster in Europe and we didn't have to queue more than 5 minutes for a ride. It was also halloween so the whole park was decorated in pumpkins and broomsticks!

After 3 days of rollercoasters and rides, we drove down to Valencia, Spain which took around 2.5 hours.  We had a couple of nights in Valencia and spent most of our time in the old city.

From Valencia ... we went straight to Grandma and Granddad's house again in Huercal Overa where we spent 3 weeks enjoying southern Spain again. We hosted our friends from Murcia - the Gaileys and also Grandma and Grandad and cousin Ciaran came out for 2 weeks, and Justine Oldham who we spent time with in London came and visited for a few days as well!

Many famous movies have been filmed in Almeria (think Clint Eastwood Good, Bad and the Ugly), and we visited the park for a day.

We really enjoyed our second visit of the Summer to Southern Spain. We got up at 5am on the 1st November to drive the 6 hours to Barcelona. Barcelona was going to be our last stop in Europe, and we were lucky Zoe and Mark and Aunty Linda, Anna and Siena (from Andorra) were coming to spend a few days with us before waving us off on the boat to America!

Andorra, 2nd Oct - 6th Oct (by Ella)

We went to Andorra to meet Mum's cousin Mike and family! Mum and Mike would see each other very often when they were little, and now haven't seen each other for over 20 years!

Mike now lives in Andorra (a very small country near Spain), along with his lovely wife Anna and little Girl Sienna.

We stayed with them for 4 nights in their house that had a stunning view overlooking the village and mountains. We also watched the England / Australia rugby world cup match, and made sure the whole village could see our Australia flag!

Mike and Anna showed us all around Andorra. They do a lot of climbing and also took us to a local Rock Climbing wall.

Mike & Anna also had 2 very cute Griffon dogs called Eddie and Eva which we instantly fell in love with.

We had lots of fun with Mike, Anna and Sienna; Andorra was one of our favourite places, and we can't wait to come back again soon.
